Reflecting

I sit and I reflect
about unanswered prayers
Wondering is there is anyone
out there who really cares
Doubts I have had
seems nearly all my life
But I am not the only one
to feel despair and strife
My belief, if indeed,
ever I had one
Seems to have vanished
it has become undone
Am I wrong to believe,
that I must make things right
That is it me alone
that can win this uphill fight
To believe in one's self
is the only way
To make it to tomorrow
we must first get through today
God helps those who help themselves
You must have inner strength
But how do I find it
when it seems my ship did sink
I need, I want, I love
and I still have hope
But sometimes I believe
I can no longer cope
I will survive
and through all my tears
I will look forward
to happier years
I know I am not alone
Others need love too
Joining hands together
we can see this storm through
